India

According to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), India is one of the countries with the highest percentage of rice exports in the world. India’s rice exports in 2022 reached 15.5 million tons, recording an increase of 940,000 tons over the same period last year, accounting for 25% of the worldwide market share.

Thailand

According to the forecast of the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene, Vietnam’s rice export output will continue to increase and reach over 6 million tons in 2023. Rice prices will peak at the time of holidays and Lunar New Year when the trading activities of goods will take place strongly. However, the high price of ships will affect the export of rice to countries in the international region.

China

China is one of the countries with the largest percentage of rice exports in the world. The main markets that Chinese companies are targeting are South Korea, Mongolia, Hong Kong, etc. Compared to previous years, China is now accounting for most of the expected increase in global rice consumption. At the same time, the usage of rice for animal feed and for industry will account for most of the expected increase in the country’s rice demand for the period 2021-2022.
