Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant was built in Ky Loi commune, Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh province.
Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant with a capacity of 1,200 MW (2x600MW) has been put into commercial operation for unit 1 from December 31, 2014 and unit 2 from May 12, 2015. Since being recognized for commercial operation (January 1, 2015) to the end of June 30, 2022, the plant has generated 38.91 billion kWh of electricity.
It is a coal-fired power project with a large capacity of the unit, using advanced, high-efficiency direct injection coal burning technology, meeting well the requirements of environmental protection.
With the presence of Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant, the North’s power supply, which is facing a lot of difficulties, has been greatly supported.
The annual revenue of the factory is about VND 7 – 8 trillion, making an important contribution to the group’s total revenue and making a significant contribution to central and local budget revenues.
